Ann Summers does winter 2013

We may not have had a summer yet, but we are already keenly viewing the winter 2013 collections. They will start hitting the shops in July, so all I can warn is- buy those bikinis now before you end up with mismatch sizes only leftover.

At Ann Summers this coming winter it's all about raising the temperature, with their new collection of sex-cessories setting the tone. From black velvet handcuffs to diamanté encrusted whips and leatherette paddles- bondage has gone beautiful. And much more accessible.

There is, as always, an unbeatable selection of vibrators. Don't be shy - they will definitely have what you are after. Hopefully, after the shady grey phenomena last year, the stigma of purchasing sex toys is on the way out. From expanding, air-bagged rabbits to ride on vibrators, there is something for everyone.

And it's not all about naughty at Ann Summers. There is a wide selection of gorgeous underwear - and not all crotchless. In fact I only saw one pair sans crotch. There are balcony and racer back bras and lots of lacy, rose gold, baby doll, waspies, bow detail, tuxedo style, sumptuous goodies to pair with.

Shake that stigma and see what Ann Summers has to offer. Treat yourself to a few confidence boosting sex-cessories. The race back balcony bra I have is the best fitting and most well-received bra I have ever worn. And I'm no Mrs Christian Grey.

Going Great Gatsby

Frock and Frill dress at Amazon, £125

I've come to the conclusion that I really should have been born in the 1920s. The glamour, glitz and fabulous parties would have suited me down to the ground - I decided after my visit to the Prohibition party held this time at the gorgeous Bloomsbury Ballroom.
In true fashionable London style, the venue is revealed just two weeks before the event. The next one is going to be on June 1, and I would highly recommend that you go. There was cocktails in teacups, a spot of roulette, burlesque acts, live music and lots of dancing; but the best bit was the dressing up. Every guest there had made a fantastic effort with their outfits, from full length sparkling gowns, to sequinned encrusted skullcaps for the women and braces, hats and snappy suits for the men.

I wore my Phase Eight sparkling dress from last season, which came complete with 20s-esque flapper, beaded trim hem...
The best 20s outfits I have seen on the high street are available from Frock and Frill at Amazon. Think dropped waists, beaded detail, scalloped hems... actually, you don't need to imagine - here are the cream of the Frock and Frill crop (from £55), on sale at Amazon now. Perfect for the next Prohibition party, and perfectly on trend to wear again...

George spring/summer 2013

It is still hard to believe that you can pick up fashion pieces like these alongside your weekly shop at Asda. Think of it as a reward, for doing the chore of filling the fridge. Everyone's a winner.

Love these neons, graphic prints and fringe detailing. The floral flat forms have won me over. Although these are only child-sized: great if you have small enough feet! I'm still not convinced about the look of a flat form on a foot any larger than a child-sized foot, anyway.

Kimberley Wyatt relaunches Beautiful Movements make up collection

Pussycat Doll and Got to Dance judge, Kimberley Wyatt, tonight relaunched her mineral make up label, Beautiful Movements.

Held at the Sanctum Soho Hotel, it was an intimate affair with no more than 50 guests, including fellow Pussycat Doll Ashley Roberts, JB - aka one quarter of JLS, and TOWIE's Lydia Bright, who looked gorgeous in a geometric print dress.

Kimberley is a fabulous ambassador for her brand; she is as friendly, fun and beautiful as she appears on television.

We had all gathered, amongst cava and cupcakes, to get first glimpse of the rebranded collection which includes a brand new product: Mixing Medium, an aloe Vera gel which turns powders into cream foundations, blush and matte eye shadows.

The colours are surprisingly wearable and we took a particular liking to the powder metallic shade eye shadows and nude lip glosses. The prices are great, at around £14 for powder brushes, £7 for powder shadows and £8 for mascara.

Follow on Twitter @BMCosmetics for the latest updates and visit bmbeauty.com, where the collection will soon be available to buy online.

New Look Hi-Summer 2013

The sunshiny day we had yesterday has got us pining after summer. Here are a few of our favourite pieces from New Look that are bound to get you in the mood for the sunny season...

Rihanna for River Island launch

The latest celeb/high street collaborative collection, Rihanna for River Island, is now available to shop online. And the launch was that of fittingly superstar proportions.

After a fan-filled opening at the Oxford street store, where Ri-Ri donned the thigh high split dress from her collection, the diamond singer headed to the after party at London hotspot, DSTRKT, where we were all waiting. And waiting...

Loving...
The neon yellow dress, tie side tops, striped shorts, parka style coat, eagle detail backpack, thigh high split dress, baseball jacket (although it's a bit pricey at £120)

Not so convinced on the double denim jeans, hot pants and crop tops, but only because I know I couldn't pull them off. Good on Rihanna for creating a collection we could actually imagine her wearing. Which she did: the black dress for the store opening and double jeans for the after party.

R&B, hip hop, Destinys Child and a spot of Drake played as the reality TV stars just kept on coming. X Factor, TOWIE, Made in Chelsea... The only show not represented was DOI.

Moment if the evening: the unexpected arrival of the Fresh Prince himself, Will Smith, who gave us a wave and a smile *swoon* Wonder if he got chatting to XFactor's Jahmene Douglas about Simon Cowell? We also spotted Conor Maynard, who had also been at the club the night before along with Justin Bieber.

It reached 1am and these two fashion party girls decided to make a fatal error and head home. Yep, Rihanna showed up about, at a guess, around ten minutes later. But, not to sound too bitter, the Will Smith sighting was more than enough for us. Good girls, gone home.

Shop the Rihanna collection online now. Here are our favourite pieces...

Chinatown, London 2013

#ilovelondon

By happy accident, we were lucky enough to catch the lanterns that were still up from Chinese New Year celebrations. We walked into the restaurant and they were up, we walked out and they were being taken down by cranes.

Now that's what I call good fortune...

Aussie Quiz of the Year 2013

Our knowledge of Australian culture was put to the test at the 2013 Aussie quiz of the year, held at Home House last night.

Our quizmaster for the evening was T4's Rick Edwards, who sat atop a wicker throne surrounded by surfboards and all things tropical.

After a delicious feast of fresh seafood and salads, and chocolate peanut cake, we got going with the quiz. Our team, included beauty editors from More! And Love It! Note to self: my publication title should really include an exclamation mark.

We were team Miracle Moist, named after the wonderful Aussie hair product range. We answered questions about everything from celebrity to culture and were even able to identify a picture of that renowned bushranger, Ned Kelly. But sadly we didn't live up to the high-flying legacy of our namesake, and ended up finishing 5th. Out of five.

No worries mate: the cocktails kept flowing, Rick was charmingly entertaining and we headed home with a bag of gorgeous Aussie goodies to boot.
